Gordon B. Rogers (b. Aug. 22, 1901, Manchester, Tenn.-d. July 4, 1967), U.S. Army officer, graduated from West Point in 1924. During World War II, he served in Australia and New Guinea and was assistant chief of staff, Army Ground Forces HQ in Washington, D.C. George Bernard Dany (1910-2001) was born in the Philippine Islands as the son of a U.S. Army officer. Having attended schools in San Diego, California, including the San Diego Army-Navy Academy, Dany entered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1930.
